BLACK RHINO DEHORNING
Generously sponsored by funds donated through the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, USA
In March 2017 we funded the dehorning of Phinda Private Game Reserve's black rhino population. Black rhinos are more feisty and grumpy than their white cousins so it was important for the reserve to dehorn them all within the same timeframe. It was a pleasure to watch the professionalism of Dr. Mike Toft and the Phinda Conservation team who performed each operation flawlessly.
We're extremely grateful to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation in the USA who awarded Wild Tomorrow Fund with the funds to perform this critical work.
Be safe, black rhinos of Phinda.
